Hi and welcome. I hope that I will be able to provide you with the help and support you are looking for.  I am married and have two great boys aged 17 and 19yrs and a wonderful Stepdaughter. I have been training my own dogs for 30+ years and I complete at top-level national agility.

I have owned mainly rescue dogs including, Lurchers, Collies, Collie x Spaniel, Staffie x Terrier and currently have two Mini American Shepherd dogs.

I worked as a Riding Instructor for many years, then joined the co-corporate and worked as a Senior Manager for a Medical Device Company and since starting my family 19 yrs ago I have focused on my two passions, Photography (Mel Taylor Photography) and dog training.

I am a Qualified Instructor with the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) an Accredited, Mantrailing Global Instructor,  I hold  the UK Sniffer Dog Bronze, Silver and Gold Instructor Certificates although I am no longer a member so you will not find me on their website. I am also Level 1&2 Scentwork UK Instructor. More recently I have become an Engima Canine Trusted instructor for Mantrailing, Scent Detection and Tracking and a UK Scent Sport Instructor. I also qualified this year with the IMDT as an Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor.  I am continually doing CPD to ensure I bring the best training methods to my clients and have just started a 3 year course on Dog Behaviour.

​My aim is to pass this knowledge on to you so that you can overcome any struggles you have or just enjoy building on the relationship you have with your dog. Providing them with an enriched life of stress-free walks and fun games.
