What is Mantrailing?
Mantrailing is a new and fast-growing dog sport for all ages of dogs and people. The aim of the game is to find people with their noses! You work together as a team to find the hidden person... the Trail Layer! It is fun, dogs love it and it's is very addictive! You have been warned!

You can participate just for fun but you can also work towards different levels and work towards badges for different skill sets. It's up to you how involved you want to get.
What are the benefits of Mantrailing?
Mantrailing is a sport that can be enjoyed by all people and all dogs, regardless of age, breed, size or disability. It is a low impact sport and is all done at a walking pace.
It is suitable for all temperaments too because the dogs are worked individually and are on a long line all the time. So if your dog is reactive or nervous or has a bad recall, it does not matter, they can take part and enjoy the fun the same as all the other dogs.
You will build a stronger relationship with your dog.
Build their confidence.
As the dogs are using their noses, this is a great mental workout for them as well as physical exercise.
It's a low-impact sport so it is suitable for all dogs because there is minimal stress on their joints.
It will get you outside enjoying time with your dog in all weathers. You just need to wrap up appropriately.
You will both get a real buzz from finding the Trail Layer at the end of your trails!
It's a fun and social activity where you will meet new friends. You can enjoy this sport all over the country so if you are away on holiday you can find a Mantrailing UK instructor and see what sessions they have available.
How do I get started?
To start with you will need to book an Introduction Workshop @ £65 (If you can not make one of my Mantrailing Introduction workshops or it is full, I can do a 1-2-1 session prior to one of my Progressions sessions so please contact me for more details) (Total cost for this will be £80, which includes the 1-2-1 and Progression trails session after)
This is approximately a 3 hr session where you will learn about Mantrailing, You will learn some awesome facts about the dog's sense of smell, the process of setting the dog up for success and then you will do some small trails to get you and your dog into the game to see how much fun it is! We only promote positive training, no harsh handling will be allowed.
At the end of the session, you will be certified to be able to join progression trail sessions with any Mantrailing UK (now Mantrailing Global) instructor.
You can book the progression trial sessions as little or as often as you would like to. Obviously, the more often you trail your dog, the better you as a team become.
Trailing sessions last from 2.5 to 3 hrs long. There will be no more than 5 people on a trailing session. You will get 2 to 3 trails per session, depending on how long they are. Each dog is worked individually. (Your dog must be happy to be left in the car while they wait for their turns) The cars will have someone watching over them so you do not need to worry about them.
Everyone helps out, so you will be the Misper for other people, you will take a turn on car supervision, and you will trail your dog. You can also follow behind to watch other people trail too, which is a great way of learning.
Trail venues will vary and may be rural or urban. You choose the ones you want to do.

Prices are as follows:-
3- 4hr Introduction Workshop = £65 per dog
Private 1 hr 1-2-1 Introduction prior to joining a Progression session to learn the game = £80 (this includes the price of the progression session too)
3 hr Trailing Sessions = £25 per dog (some venues have a fee and may be slightly more)
